Celso Singo Aramaki studied Social Communications at FAAP College in Brazil and arts at Hunter College.
Since 1985, he has been working as an visual artist and entrepreneur and has focused on visual communications projects in São Paulo, Brazil; New York, USA; and Tokyo, Japan.
He worked as an illustrator and journalist with Folha de São Paulo in Brazil from 1985-1991. Started with a weekly comic strip for ‘Folhinha’ and in 1987 with the daily comic strip ‘Rard’ for ‘Ilustrada’.
In 1990 he moved to New York and developed illustrations and art direction projects with his first company Visual Factory Co. in Manhattan, for Kodansha International and other communications companies in New York and Los Angeles.
In his first stay in Tokyo, Japan, from 1992 to 1998, he developed interactive multimedia projects, information architecture for intranet sites and corporate presentations with Dentsu, in Tokyo.
The NHK/NEC ‘Seimei’ interactive media title series of 1996-1998 in which he was one of the digital contents Executive Producer won a prize at Cannes Interactive Festival in 1998.
From 1999 to 2004 he worked again for Folha de São Paulo in Brazil, while starting his graphic romance ‘Noograms’.
In 2005/2006, Celso’s interest of micro projects incubation and management over networks inspired him to form the base for the microbranding data visualization company Flux Streets Co., Ltd. in Tokyo, which he sold in January 2010 to an investment company.
In 2011 he is currently director at mStreets Co., Ltd in US and eMeme Produção AudioVisual Ltda-ME in Brazil.
While as a executive producer and entrepreneur he manages a varaiety of visual information jobs, his special interest is in projects for semantic web datasets visualization.
As an visual artist, his graphic romance “Noograms” is scheduled to be published in 2012 in New York.
